MARISQUIÑO 2026

From Vigo and with 25 years of experience, Marisquiño has established itself as one of Europe’s leading action sports and urban culture events. From August 6 to 9, the city will once again be transformed into a large open-air stage on the occasion of the festival’s XXVI edition, which will bring together 1,500 athletes from more than 30 countries, around 60 artists, and is expected to exceed 150,000 attendees.

The program includes eight sports disciplines, three Olympic ones, along with two adapted modalities that position Marisquiño as a pioneering event in their inclusion. The competitions combine open participation formats, aimed at professionals and amateurs, with invitations to some of the highest-ranked riders in the international rankings. The festival will host scoring events in 2026 for the World Cup Skateboarding and the FIBA 3x3 circuit. In addition, it continues to feature BMX, Big Air, Freestyle Motocross, Mountain Bike, Flatland and Breaking.

Urban culture completes the program with concerts, DJs, freestyle rap battles and graffiti actions. On Thursday, Family Day will be celebrated, with a program of activities aimed at children and young people.

Spaces

Samil Beach

Samil has become the epicenter of the festival after a gradual relocation process from its former location in the port. The new venue, open to the sea, with access to the beach, green areas and privileged views of the Cíes Islands, makes it possible to integrate sport, music and leisure in an idyllic setting. In an area of more than 100,000 square meters, Samil hosts the sports competitions, except for urban downhill, the music stages, the children’s and youth programming, and the village, equipped with rest areas, market and food service.

Historic center

In the heart of Vigo, the MTB Downtown continues to be held, one of the most spectacular events of the festival. The route runs through the streets, stairs and squares of the historic center, turning it into a unique thrilling circuit in the world. The combination of history, heritage and extreme sport creates one of the most iconic images of Marisquiño, being one of the most widely disseminated pieces of content in the media and on digital platforms.
