Marisquiño unveils its day-by-day music programme across four stages, with music running throughout the day in Samil
Marisquiño has unveiled the day-by-day breakdown of its 2026 music programme. From Thursday 6 to Sunday 9 August, the festival’s music programme will unfold across four distinct spaces within the Samil venue, each with its own identity. It will begin on Thursday afternoon with a welcome concert before continuing from midday on Friday and Saturday and from Sunday morning, running through until the evening.

Marisquiño is extending its family programme across all four days of the festival this year, from 6 to 9 August, with more than 40 free activities in Samil and Navia. Under the new Marisquiño Kids brand, the 2026 edition will feature workshops, games, exhibitions, a concert and participatory activities designed to bring action sports and urban culture closer to younger generations.

Marisquiño to welcome international adaptive skateboarding and BMX stars to Vigo
Marisquiño will bring some of the world’s leading figures in adaptive skateboarding and adaptive BMX to Vigo this summer. From 7 to 9 August, the Samil Beach venue will host both competitions, as part of a line of work that places the festival among the few events in the world to include adaptive disciplines in its official programme.

Marisquiño completes its music programme with more than 40 artists mapping out the sound of urban culture
Marisquiño festival has completed its music line-up with more than 40 artists and its broadest and most diverse programme to date. From 7 to 9 August, Samil Beach will host concerts, sound system, freestyle rap, turntablism and electronic music sessions, in a programme conceived as a sound map of today’s urban culture.

PORTUGUESE AND SPANISH DJS TO BATTLE IN VIGO FOR A PLACE AT THE DMC WORLD DJ CHAMPIONSHIPS IN LONDON
Portuguese and Spanish DJs will compete this summer for a place at the DMC World DJ Championships, one of the world's most respected DJ competitions. DMC Iberia 2026 will bring together the best turntablists from across the Iberian Peninsula, with the Iberian Final taking place on August 9 as part of Marisquiño Festival 2026, one of Europe's leading urban culture festivals.

Urban downhill returns to Spain’s Atlantic coast as MTB Downtown registration opens June 4 for Marisquiño Festival 2026
MTB Downtown 2026 takes place on August 8 as part of Marisquiño Festival in Vigo, a coastal city in northwestern Spain. Riders will race from a 17th-century hilltop fortress through the historic streets of Vigo to the Atlantic waterfront in one of Europe’s most unusual urban downhill courses. The race will bring national and international riders to Vigo in both men’s and women’s categories.

Marisquiño represents Spain at Meeting of Stars, a European summit on urban cultures held in Strasbourg
Marisquiño took part as Spain’s representative at Meeting of Stars – The European Street Culture Conference, a European summit dedicated to urban cultures, held in Strasbourg from 21 to 25 May. The event, promoted by the French organisation Nouvelle Ligne, brought together representatives from all 27 European Union countries, including event organisers, riders, artists and other professionals connected to the sector.

L0rna headlines the first music acts confirmed for Marisquiño 2026
Marisquiño unveils the first music acts confirmed for its 2026 edition, which will take place in Vigo from 6 to 9 August, with three of the most singular and distinctive projects from the new urban scene. L0rna leads this first wave of confirmations, which also includes El Virtual and Fresquito y Mango: three different projects, each with its own creative universe, helping to capture how Spanish urban music is evolving.
