WHAT

The FAMILY DAY presented by Gadis returns, the day that O Marisquiño dedicates each year to the youngest, an experience that brings action sports and urban culture closer to new generations through the programming of different workshops from which the future stars of these sports will emerge.

A new edition where O Marisquiño, with the collaboration of Gadis and Montana, offers the youngest the opportunity to come and discover the festival by getting in touch with the various urban sports and disciplines that are part of the event: free workshops of Skate, Flatland, BMX, Break Dance, 3x3 Basketball, and Graffiti. Beginner classes where, in a safe manner and guided by professional trainers and instructors, techniques, positions, and tricks of all sports will be taught.

The Family Day program includes a total of 25 workshops across 6 disciplines with more than 250 spots offered. An initiative of the festival and Gadis where children aged 5 to 16 can enjoy the scheduled activities, with the only requirement to participate being the desire to learn and the excitement to have a good time.

WHERE

In this edition, the workshops will be held in Navia, Samil, and the Nautical Zone.

The Navia Skate Park is once again the chosen space for the BMX and Skate workshops. The Nautical Zone in the center of Vigo is the place to hold the 3x3 Basketball workshops and the afternoon youth championship. The Samil promenade will become the reserved space for the Break Dance workshops, located on the skating rink; the Flatland workshops will take place on the basketball courts like the previous edition and the Graffiti workshops, which will have a new space set up next to the Marina Cíes Beach Club and opposite the Verbum Museum.

HOW

The workshops will be held on August 8th, at different times, from 10:30 am to 9:00 pm, with morning and afternoon sessions for different age groups.

All workshops are free with prior registration via the web. Remember that places are limited, and once the capacity is reached, registrations on the web and by any other means will be closed.

IMPORTANT

  • Participants must be accompanied by the person who signed the registration document.
  • Both must present their identification document (DNI/ID) at the time of the workshop. If the person who signed cannot attend, it is essential to bring written authorization from the person who registered, allowing another person to bring their child or ward. If these requirements are not met, it will not be possible to participate in the event.
  • We recommend that children wear comfortable clothing.
  • For certain activities, specific equipment will be necessary (bike, skateboard, helmet, etc.).
