SOUND SYSTEM

SOUND SYSTEM

At Marisquiño 2026, one of the formats that left the biggest mark in previous editions makes its return: the Sound System. A proposal that once again becomes part of the festival with its own identity and will find its home on the new stage Oasis by OCB, a space designed to enjoy music up close, in community, and through sound system culture.

Located next to Samil beach and with the Cíes Islands as a backdrop, Oasis by OCB recovers the essence of Jamaican tradition, where the spotlight falls on the bass, the power of the sound system, and the direct connection between artists and audience. A meeting point designed to experience music in an open, immersive, and shared way.

The return of Sound System is possible thanks to the support of OCB, which joins Marisquiño as a sponsor and lends its name to this new stage, reinforcing its commitment to live music and to those cultural proposals capable of creating authentic experiences.

During the four days of the festival, Oasis by OCB will offer a lineup dedicated to sound system culture, reggae, dub, and other related sounds, establishing itself as one of the most distinctive spaces at OM26. A stage designed to discover new proposals, share the collective experience of music, and enjoy one of the cultural expressions with the greatest influence on the contemporary urban scene.

Chalart58 & Matah

Chalart58 & Matah

One of the most outstanding proposals in the national reggae and live dub scene. Chalart58's productions join forces with Matah's voice and stage presence in a live show where Jamaican sounds and contemporary electronics coexist.

Luv Messenger Sound

Luv Messenger Sound

Founded in Barcelona in 2007, it is one of the most recognized collectives in the national reggae and dancehall scene. Their sessions combine classics and new releases of Jamaican music, keeping the festive and community essence of the Sound System intact.

Píntega Sistema de Son

Píntega Sistema de Son

The sound system for the space will be provided by Píntega Sistema de Son, one of the reference collectives on the Galician Sound System scene, known for its powerful reggae, dub and steppa sessions through its own sound system. Their selections combine electronic and percussive rhythms with a carefully curated selection of vinyl and dubplates, also incorporating the live melodies of Helen Noise’s violin, one of their hallmarks.

Nahno Selectah

Nahno Selectah

An essential name in the Vigo reggae scene. After several years away from the controls, he returns to Marisquiño to share a selection full of history, experience and passion for Jamaican music.

Faithful devotee of the Galician punk scene for as long as she can remember, vinyl collector and in love with the Jamaican rhythms that make our chests vibrate. Addicted to putting on records from time to time to make others enjoy them as much as she does with the classic sounds of ska, rocksteady and early reggae.

She is currently shaping a club of crazy people for old-fashioned music in Pontevedra, under the name of the collective Dirty Old Town.

CHAPAMAMA CREW

CHAPAMAMA CREW

Chapamama Crew is a collective of multigenre deejays formed in 2022 in the city of Vigo, made up of Nahgga, Nu_Eva and Lu Ko Ala. The collective was born naturally after several years sharing parties and organizing multidisciplinary events around the 85C collective. Since then, their paths have drawn closer and closer with the clear intention of continuing to create in collectivity and through the community.

Their sets are characterized by eclectic rhythms that blend hip hop, house, breakbeats, dancehall, reggae, dub, afrobeats, amapiano and funk da favela. The richness of their selection is defined by the combination of each of their individual styles.

ITAL ROOTS

ITAL ROOTS

With more than 10 years of experience and 34 editions of the Rub a Dub Corner in Vigo, Ital Roots brings a unique selection of 100% vinyl Jamaican music in the form of exclusive dubplates and 80s rhythms in the purest style of the Jamaican sound system.

LU KO ALA

LU KO ALA

Dancehall is her form of expression, both on the dance floor and in the booth. This DJ and dancer specialized in Jamaican culture connects with the audience through the dancehall classics all the way to the latest releases.

An active part of the dancehall scene since 2010, her path is extensive: she founded New Level Vigo at Sala Doppler, is part of Chapamama Crew, has visited the Caribbean island twice, and recently launched Dancehall Nights at Fábrica de Chocolate. On this occasion, she will be selecting side by side with master Nahno Selectah, a clear reference and inspiration throughout her career.

Double Iago's

Double Iago's

Under the pseudonym Double Iago’s, we find two veteran selectors from the Vigo scene, the ones who drove the beginnings of the Jamaican sound universe in the city of Olívica: Iago Maderal and Iago Traba.

They were part of the leading collective Kinki Reggae Clube and regularly organized events in venues such as Glinglo and Rass Clube, as well as the first reggae raves in the area. For this occasion they dust off their records and dress up for the opening of the Sound System area at OM26.
