Nuevo recorrido y final para el MTB Downtown: O Castro - A Laxe

Since its incorporation into Marisquiño, MTB Downtown has always been one of the stars of the Vigo festival, a favorite among audiences of all ages. The streets of Casco Vello, the mountainous area of the Castro, and the finish line already by the sea make it unique in the world. Its importance has gained even more value over the past couple of years, when it moved to Saturday.

This year, after two editions with a similar (and successful) route, it was time to give it a twist. And while it will start as always from the foot of the Fortress of O Castro, this time it will have a spectacular new finish at the Ocio Center A Laxe. New route and new finish crossing the mythical Vigo walkway at over 17 meters high above the street and descending between the two buildings of the Ocio Center to the finish line, in the esplanade of the port. With a course of 1 kilometer and 135 meters of elevation, the new circuit will not be the only novelty for the urban descent during the 25th anniversary of Marisquiño. On one hand, the schedule for the finals is pushed back by an hour to ensure even more spectacular lighting. On the other hand, there will be activities to liven up the day and the finish line, such as a MiniDH for kids, DJs, and other surprises near the A Laxe Leisure Center.
