WHAT
Marisquiño hosts the Adaptive Skateboarding Championship for the third year, an experience that since its beginnings in 2024 was an exciting challenge and a complete success. This time it returns stronger with new features that will raise the level: new formats, international riders, and the same energy that breaks barriers. Talent, overcoming challenges, and inspiration on the board.
This initiative is made possible thanks to the collaboration with the Fundación BIMBA Y LOLA, an organization committed to inclusion and positive impact through art, culture, and sport. The foundation renews its collaboration with Marisquiño to continue promoting adaptive sports and foster more diverse and accessible spaces.
PRIZES
All riders, both invited and from the open, will compete for the same cash prizes as the male and female riders of the World Cup Skateboarding, in a clear commitment to equity, visibility, and recognition of talent without barriers.
SKATEPARK
Marisquiño presents a skatepark that, beyond the new big section, is designed so that all its modules are inclusive and can be enjoyed regardless of level and/or particular conditions.
Additionally, in the center, next to the logo and the pyramid, a free area has been left to avoid collisions and incorporate a special box to offer a greater spectacle (and enjoyment) in Skate Adaptive. All this in a location that offers greater comfort for the public and riders, while also allowing the spectacular natural surroundings of Samil Beach and the Cíes Islands to be showcased to the world.
HOW
Together with Marcelo Lusardi, we have found a formula that works: a championship format designed for riders, creative, with rhythm, intensity, and moments of maximum focus. A unique space that at times becomes silent and almost intimate, and at others bursts with excitement and euphoria.
Over three days, the world's best skaters in this discipline have the perfect stage to develop their skateboarding with comfort and freedom. Building on this solid foundation, the Adaptive Skateboarding Championship continues to grow, with an Open format, opening the door to new participants and the creation of a future international ranking.

Riders
Marcelo Lusardi
Marcelo (Spain, 1996) is a skater with visual impairment. He lost his sight at 18, and since then his relationship with skateboarding took a different turn. He is an ambassador of this project and takes part in the coordination and selection of riders for the Adaptive Skateboarding competition at O Marisquiño. After several editions he has become a figure recognised by the public. He currently keeps skating actively, has his own sponsors and stars in a documentary about his career. His story has transcended the adaptive skate community and has been recognised by references such as Tony Hawk.
Vinicios Sardi
Vinicios (Brazil, 1996) is one of the main references of paraskateboarding in Brazil and internationally. As a professional skater and president of the Brazilian Paraskateboarding Association (ABPSK), he plays a key role in the development of the discipline, driving the creation of competitions, technical evaluation criteria and new structures to strengthen the growth of adaptive sport. His career combines high performance and a strong commitment to generating new opportunities for the community while continuing to drive the development of paraskate internationally.
Anthony Ferraro
Anthony (United States, 1994), was born with congenital amaurosis of Leber, a genetic condition that caused blindness from birth. At 31, he has developed a multidisciplinary career as a professional athlete, musician, speaker, content creator and entrepreneur. In his school years he was the only blind wrestler on his team, an experience documented in the film A Shot In The Dark, based on his brother's footage during his athletic preparation. He currently continues his training in judo with his sights set on the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games, while sharing his life and process with his digital community.
Oscar Loreto
Oscar Loreto Jr. (United States, 1990), originally from Downey, California, has been an active figure in the growth of the adaptive skate movement over the last decade. He has collaborated with multiple projects and organizations dedicated to the dissemination and development of the discipline, contributing to its international expansion. He is co-owner of One Legacy Skateboards, a brand created by and for adaptive skaters, focused on the development of products and opportunities within the adaptive skateboarding community.
Tony Alves
Tony (Brazil, 1999), started skating at just 2 years old and has kept skateboarding as a constant in his life ever since. He was born without both legs, which led him to find in skate a natural form of expression and athletic development. A versatile skater, he moves across different disciplines, with a special affinity for street. In addition to his competitive career, he is vice president of the Brazilian Paraskateboarding Association (ABPSK), from where he works to strengthen opportunities for people with disabilities within skateboarding in Brazil.
Tia Pearl
Tia (United States, 1988), originally from Illinois, has more than 25 years of experience in skateboarding. After emergency surgery at 22 that caused severe nerve damage to her left leg, she found in adaptive skate a new way to continue her athletic career. Since 2019 she competes in the adaptive women's category, accumulating 34 victories, including four world titles and two consecutive Dew Tour championships. She also dedicates time to teaching skateboarding to people of all ages and levels in the American Midwest.
Edward Jeffries
Edward (United States, 1970), adaptive skater from Las Vegas with more than 30 years in skateboarding. After an accident 17 years ago, he continued in adaptive sports, establishing himself as a leading figure. He is WCMX 2023 world champion and Las Vegas Sport-Social Champion, took part in the adaptive skate exhibition at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, as well as in the Paralympic relay towards Los Angeles 2028 in Venice Beach. He is the founder of KickPush Organization, a non-profit entity that trains and supports young skaters in his community with an inclusive and social approach.
Italo Romano
With a physical disability in the lower limbs, Ítalo is part of the management team of the Brazilian Paraskateboard Association, an entity that officially represents the paraskate modality in Brazil. Among his most significant achievements is having skated on the Megaramp, one of the most challenging and dangerous structures in the world of skate.
This talented Brazilian skater lost both legs at 11 years old, after a tragic accident while trying to “surf” on one of the train cars. Despite this difficult experience, Ítalo transformed his story into inspiration. He starred in a short film produced by Red Bull, which gave him international exposure and turned him into a reference in paraskate worldwide.
